Arup: I had the opportunity to participate in Earth Hour last year and really enjoyed it. Although it was a small gesture, I enjoyed spending the time with my family playing board games (by candle light) and talking with my kids about what was happening across the world as people participated by turning off the lights. http://spellman.typepad.com/my_weblog/2008/03/turn-out-the-li.html

Well Sudipto, I really do not want to be negative about Cuil but it seems there is some serious crisis out there. They seem to be making little or no headway in recouping themselves. Only time will tell what happens to them. As of now, I would avoid using Cuil; instead try checking them out off and on, if they happen to be back on track.

I tried an obscure search term ‘arachibutyrophobia ‘ to compare cuil.com and google.com, and I immediately liked the google result more. In addition Google corrected my spelling too. Now, this may be a preliminary observation, but I won’t switch to cuil.com for some more time.

* Try the word with a missing character and Cuil will tell you that no results are found
* Google suggests the correct spelling is case you mis-spelt
* Using the correct keyword, Google finds 27,900 and Cuil only finds 9,433
